Mellery Market

Located on a small square, at the end of Mathieu Desmaré street and in front of the Maison de Quartier, the small Mellery market offers everyday products: fruits and vegetables, bread and more. A real meeting place, it animates this residential neighborhood every week.

The market is brand new and we are always looking for merchants. Do not hesitate to send us your application by email : marches.markten@brucity.be

To see around

The market is located at the edge of the Park of Laeken, situated on the route of the Green Promenade, the park of Laeken is part of a vast landscape complex including the Royal Domain and several surrounding parks in the north of Brussels (Osseghem, Jardins du Fleuriste, Sobieski, Colonial, etc.).

Not far from the cemetery of Laeken, this one is decorated with monuments more prestigious than the others, it becomes little by little the 'Belgian Père-Lachaise' inspired by the Parisian example of 1804. It is the ultimate residence of the nobility and the bourgeoisie.

You can also admire the Church of Our Lady of Laeken, built in the 19th century and dedicated to Louise-Marie, the first Queen of the Belgians, it houses the Royal Crypt. The choir of the primitive church of the XIIIth century is in the primary gothic style and rises in the cemetery where many personalities are buried. Among them are the playwright Michel de Ghelderode, the architects Poelaert, Balat and Suys as well as the violinist Charles de Beriot and his wife, the famous singer "La Malibran". Among the works of art adorning the tombs and chapels is the famous "Thinker" by Rodin.
