Bockstael market sells a wide and varied range of products every Saturday morning, at the foot of Laeken town hall. In addition to the many fruit and vegetable stalls, visitors can taste different olives and tapenades, shop for fashion at good prices and even buy a beautiful plant.

To see around
Just next to the market is the House of Creation, the Place Bockstael Cultural Centre with its "At-home Sundays". In April and September, Laeken fair sets up on the square and the market moves to Place Willems. Combine shopping and markets by visiting Rue Marie-Christine shopping street, where you will find lots of shops, jewellery, bookshops, restaurants, snack bars and bakeries. It is on this street that the large flea market takes place in June and September. Fancy a walk? Visit the huge Laeken Park, which boasts the stunning Château de Laeken.
